I'm happy with the default fetch of mail.app which is handling Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook and Exchange accounts without difficulty. I've not tried multiple Gmail accounts but I can't see why that would be a problem. I also have a MacBook Pro and an iMac so I prefer the same mail interface (and there isn't an official/decent Gmail app for those).
